It was nearly half an hour drive from our home to Thiruvedhikudi Sivan Temple, a hundred years old temple. The very moment we entered the village we were able to inhale the fresh air. It would not be fair if I simply say it as a fresh air. It was really pollution free air.. Yes!!!! I could realize it. It was the real fragrance of our earth. The Pure Version Of Earth.
The Temple that we actually went to visit. It was almost hundred years old temple. The stones with which the temple was made proved us the fact. The sculptures in the temple proved us again. We had to wait for the gurukul. Until then we prepared everything for the ritual that has to be performed.
People never use their pond for washing clothes or giving bath to their animals, maybe because of which it was The Pure Version Of Earth.
They haven't cut down the trees to build any commercial building, maybe because of which it was The Pure Version Of Earth.
Their children still play on road together with no fear, maybe because of which it was The Pure Version Of Earth.
Suddenly I realized why is everyone around me not exited about this village. My husband, in-laws everyone around me didn't show any excitement. Am I over thinking about this village??????
No!!!! And also I found the answer.
I was so excited because this Thiruvedhikudi village reminded me my mom's home place Thalaizhayar.
The place were me and all my cousins spent most of our vacation.
Since my grand parents lived in a joint family we will be more than ten in number for each vacation.
Thalaizhayar was a typical village where bus was the only means of transport and for that you have to walk three kilometers. :):)
We are still carrying the memories we had there. Playing cricket on road, having fun at our farm's motor set, conducting idli and poori eating competition, playing cards, hide and seek in all our neighbor's houses and list keeps going on with no end.
Behalf of my cousins I thank my grandparents to give us such a wonderful memories.
The Best Part Of Life Is Our Childhood And We Had The Best Out Of It.
By the time the gurukul finished all the rituals it was 2 O Clock and it was time for us to drive back home to eat the Yummmmmy Food Cooked By The Iron Lady Of Our Family, OUR PATTU PATTI.
It was all huts everywhere, may be because of which it was The Pure Version Of Earth.
There was almost no roads inside the village, maybe because of which it was The Pure Version Of Earth.
People there have cows and goats as their pets, maybe because of which it was The Pure Version Of Earth.
